The KT Lock 70-77 lever spring keeps tension on the outside door latch, keeping it from falling open. Like all springs it eventually wears out and will need to be replaced. This factory spec spring will get your handle tensioned like new. Replacing the spring is easy, requiring only a screwdriver and possibly need nosed pliers. Refer to the pictures above to see where the spring goes and for proper orientation.
