Airstream Axle Lift Kit #11

Many people want to have better ground clearance for their Airstream trailer. Many like to take their trailer onto rough roads for back country boon docking, others need to get the trailer to better match the height of their tow vehicle and others just like the look. This is probably the easiest and most cost effective way to lift your Airstream trailer nearly 3 inches. 

Note: Dexter lift kit mounting holes may not line up with trailer chassis frame mounting holes. New holes must be drilled. 

Note: For some vintage Airstream trailers in 1960s' Henshen built # 10 beam axles with 12" brakes/ 6 lug bolt patterns with rating below 3,500 Lbs. This configurations are No Longer Available. 

If you have one of these Airstreams make sure that you order correct lift kit.

#10 Lift Kit for new up to 3,400 Pounds.

#11 for 3,500 lbs and up.

Tandem #11 Torflex Lift Kit

The lift kit will raise the units frame height 2-7/8".
This kit will only work on a #11 Torflex Airstream axle with 6 lug bolt pattern starting from 1960 up to current.

This kit worked perfectly on a 2019 Airstream 25FB. Parts appear to be black powder coated, not spray painted. All hardware was of top quality, grade 8 bolts, nuts and washers. Took me around five hours with jack stands, floor jack, impact wrench, torque wrench, big air compressor and a good assortment of combination wrenches. I did not have to weld a tab on some of the nuts, like some people have had to do. I did the back axle first. Marking location and measuring to the front axle before removal. After realignment of back axle. Do the front one the same way making and measuring to the back axle. Maintaining axle alignment is very important. The lifting of the trailer has solved the scraping on the steep approach to my building, and looks nice too. Towing and handling is unchanged as well. Should have come from the factory lifted.

bought this kit for my 1975 31' sovereign land yacht. The 2 frame bolt holes don't line up. I am going to have to drill out the holes. It's not the end of the world, but a product made by Dexter should fit a Dexter axle. Lift is well made.
