RV Scissor & Arm Jacks

RV Scissor and Arm Jacks are two essential types of lifting devices that are specifically designed for recreational vehicles (RVs). These jacks are used to stabilize and level an RV while parked or undergoing maintenance.

Scissor Jacks: Consisting of a lead screw mechanism, scissor jacks derive their name from the scissor-like action of the two linked, folding metal pieces. They are manually operated, requiring the user to turn a crank or screw to raise or lower the vehicle. This type of jack is compact, making it easy to store when not in use. They are placed under the frame of the RV, and when expanded, they raise the vehicle to the desired height.

Arm Jacks: More commonly known as Tongue Jacks or Swing-down jacks, these utilize a swinging arm mechanism to provide stability. They are usually found at the front and rear of the RV and can be operated manually or powered by electricity. Electric arm jacks are equipped with a motor, which makes the process of lifting or lowering the RV quicker and more straightforward.

Advantages:

1. Stability: Both scissor and arm jacks provide improved stability, reducing the shakiness of an RV when parked on uneven landscapes.

2. Convenience: They make it simple to level and stabilize your RV, making it safer and more comfortable during camping trips.

3. Storage: Scissor jacks, due to their design, are compact and easy to store when not in use.

4. Easy operation: While manual models require some effort, electric arm jacks are easy and quick to operate.

5. Versatility: They can also be used during maintenance or repair tasks to lift the RV.

6. Durability: These jacks are generally made from high-grade steel, providing longevity and resilience.

7. Safety: They help to prevent accidents and damage to your vehicle by ensuring it remains level and stable.
