How To Measure Dometic Weatherpro 9100 Awnings

9100 Manual Awnings                                                                                             9100 Power Awnings

Measurements
How to determine which model of hardware you can use.

Step #1.
Measure from top of door to the awning rail. This distance will tell you if you have enough room to install a WeatherPro and Power Awning.

a. These minimums needed to use STANDARD hardware:
(1) Under 6” - advisable not to use Power Awning, edge of door will scrape fabric
(2) Need 6’ to install Power Awning with vinyl weathershield
(3) Need 7’ to install Power Awning with metal weathershield
Note: Add 2° to the minimum needed if door is at or ‘near center of awning™

b. These minimums are needed to use Basement hardware
(1) Need 11” to install Power Awning with vinyl weathershield
(2) Need 12° to install Power Awning with metal weathershield
Note: Add 2°to the minimum needed if door is at or near center of awning™

Step #2.
Want to know how high roller will be from the ground in the extended/out position? Do the math:

a. Measure distance from ground to awning rail( minus 18°=(___) this is the distance roller will be from ground on Standard hardware*
b. Measure distance from ground to awning rail() minus 36°=(___) this is the distance roller will be from ground on Basement and 5th Wheel hardware”

Knowing the above measurements will allow you to make the correct choice as to which model of hardware you want to use on your Power Awning installation.
"Must have minimum of 6° door to raii to use Standard
“Must have minimum of 11° door to rail to use Basement
Specifications
Information you should know about the WeatherPro and Power Awning

1. Extension when fully extended: 8 feet
2. Lengths available: from 12 to 21 feet in one foot increments
3. Length measured: from center of arm to center of arm
4. Width of arm: 3° (1 1/2’: on each side of center)
5. Length of hardware back channel:
     a. Standard hardware, 65 1/2”
     b. Basement hardware, 62 1/4”
6. Depth of arm closed: 3 1/4’
7. Bottom bracket location from awning rail:
     a. Standard hardware. 66"
     b. Basement hardware, 63° (with extensions add 15’)
8. Pitch of fabric when fully open:
     a. Standard hardware, 13 degrees
     b. Basement and Sth Wheel hardware, 20 degrees
9. Awning roller tube distance below awning rail when fully open:
     a. 18° when using Standard hardware
     b. 36° when using Basement hardware

Example: Awning rail is 110° from ground...
* with Standard hardware awning roller tube will be 92° (7° 8)
* with Basement hardware awning roller tube will be 74° (6° 2)
