No-Leak Metal Wrap. In addition to the extra protection of a metal-wrap cover, Alumaguard features a patented design that catches and channels water away. Every slat features a vinyl seal that compresses and prevents leaks. Available with all fabrics. The rail is straight and seamless. The seal between the rail and the metal wrap cover stops the water draining off the roof of your RV. The patented vinyl seal in the Carefree Alumaguard lead slat compresses against the inside of the rail. Carefree's patented "Drain-Away™" design works as a gutter to catch and channel water away. Other brands pool water there. Every metal slat hinge is protected by our patented vinyl seal which is pinched together by the joined slats.
