Rear Trailer Hitches are towing devices generally attached to the back end of vehicles for towing purposes. They are typically constructed from sturdy, durable metals such as steel, which makes them strong and tough enough to handle heavy loads. The design usually includes a receiver - a square-shaped hole that accommodates the insertion of a hitch such as a tow strap, a hook, or ball mount.

There are different classes of rear trailer hitches, each suitable for distinct types of towing loads. Classes I and II are intended for lighter loads, such as small trailers, while classes III, IV, and V are designed for heavier loads, such as large trailers, boats, and even other vehicles.

Rear trailer hitches are usually bolted or welded to the frame of the vehicle to ensure they are secure and can manage the weight they carry. They are carefully engineered to offer optimum weight distribution that keeps the vehicle stable even with substantial load towing. They are usually coated with weather-resistant materials to protect them from potential corrosion.
